:: Simple Laws for Landlords ::
Landlords are welcoming the new bill - 'Renting Homes' which has been introduced by the Law Commission.
Hopefully landlords will see the current laws simplified if the bill becomes law.
Mike Stimpton - Chair of the NFRL (National Federation of Residential Landlords) released the following quote to the press, 'The bill recognises the need for sensible and fair regulation without the need for landlords to have to resolve all problems in the courts.'

:: Boom in Prices ::
Accoding to a recent article in the Liverpool Echo, prices are set to rise substantially in the Merseyside area over the next 5 years.
Surveys carried out by 'Your Mortgage Magazine' have said that the predicted increase overall should be somewhere in the region of 11 - 12% by the year 2010 and in certain areas the rise would be up to 14% within the next 5 years.
Good news for investors and a positive upturn for householders - should bring a smile to all our faces!

:: Skatepark ::
The opening of a new skateboarding park in Wignall Park on Bewley Drive in Southdene was a clebratory event for locals.
Installed by Playworld Systems - the park includes 6 grind rails and 11 ramps - perfect for those budding Tony Hawkes in the area! Funded by the Lottery Fund the park is the first of its kind in Knowsley and plans are afoot for more of the same - which is encouraging news for youngsters (and their parents!) in this growing community.
